Hypericum perforatum
.Undemanding wild herb with red pigment and important remedy (antidepressant, nerve injuries,...).
The true St. John's wort needs a well-drained soil and plenty of sun. The plants grow about 50 to 100 cm high and have elongated oval leaves covered with oil glands. From June to September the golden-yellow flowers sprout, which turn red when rubbed (ingredient hyperforin). The plants are used for the production of tincture and oil, among other things. As a frost and light seedling, it is best to sow outdoors in late October or from February onwards (or indoors all year round for an initial 6 weeks in the refrigerator).
